Why SCMS Seeks To Reward Good Behavior?
Swartz Creek Middle School seeks to recognize good behavior in all students through a variety of methods. Our primary reasons for sponsoring such programs are embedded in the goals below:
- Foster a positive climate
- Focus staff and student attention on desired behavior for students
- Increase the likelihood of desired behavior from students
School-Wide Reward Program
CREEK Club luncheons are hosted most months where teachers nominate (1) student who has exemplified the CREEK expectations (see rubric available in menu to the right).
Students receive honor certificates from nominating teachers and are allowed to invite (1) guest to join them in the celebration to help spread the recognition amongst the school as each student can only be nominated once per school year. Our monthly luncheon rosters are posted to the right in the document list which will be updated as new honoree lists are created.
