Our school is fully committed to supporting all students toward making regular attendance at school a high priority! To encourage individual and team-level commitments for making daily attendance a priority, our school coordinates (2) reward programs to recognize students which have been generously sponsored by community leaders and local vendors.
Individual student attendance is being tracked monthly and (2) students from each grade-level will be recognized through a drawing of the highest level performers (i.e. 0 - 1 Days Absent) that receive individual prizes from our program partners. Congratulations to our September honorees who are listed below:
February Individual Attendance Winners
Gr. 6 - Gaige Wheeler, Natalee Walton, Jasen Hoenicke
Gr. 7 - Gabriel Blair, Parker Davis
Gr. 8 - Sam Kelley, Louis Lane
*Winning students for the month of February were each awarded a gift card to a local restaurant from an anonymous donor plus (2) admissions to Roll Haven Skate and Fun Center. Our duplicate winner won a gift card to same, from Victory Custom Metals [Owner Joel A. Gowdy].
Our team or classroom-level monthly award was recently hosted for the First Hour classroom that had recorded (95%) attendance through the targeted month. The winning classroom received an honor luncheon and had the traveling banner posted outside their classroom to exemplify the teamwork involved (See the Braggin' Banner featured in the upper righthand corner of this webpage).
Our highest performing classroom for January was Mrs. Rock's First Hour who will have their celebratory luncheon very soon.
Special thanks to Swartz Creek United Methodist Church who will be sponsoring the upcoming luncheon.
We also have a sponsor for a class with 100% attendance for the entire Semester Two for a field trip on the Appledore Schooner out of Bay City.
Questions regarding programs or offers for sponsorship can be directed to our Attendance Improvement Program leader:
