Attendance Improvement Program
Our school is fully committed to supporting all students toward making regular attendance at school a high priority! To encourage individual and team-level commitments for making daily attendance a priority, our school coordinates (2) reward programs to recognize students which have been generously sponsored by community leaders and local vendors.
Individual student attendance is being tracked monthly and (2) students from each grade-level will be recognized through a drawing of the highest level performers (i.e. 0 - 1 Days Absent) that receive individual prizes from our program partners.
November Individual Attendance Winners
Gr. 6 - Alexys Burgoon, Brett Harris
Gr. 7 - Layla Ainscough, Missyana Bales
Gr. 8 - Gavyn Hanson, Kylie Kamerer
*Winning students for the month of November were each awarded passes for "Try Scuba" passes from The Dive Shop.
Our team or classroom-level monthly award is awarded for the First Hour classroom that had recorded (95%) attendance or higher through the targeted month. The winning classroom receives an honor luncheon and had the traveling banner posted outside their classroom to exemplify the teamwork involved (See the Braggin' Banner featured in the upper righthand corner of this webpage).
There were SIX First Hour classes with 95% or higher attendance for October. Those classes included:
- Mr. Hockin at 97%
- Mrs. Murdock at 97%
- Mrs. Brownfield at 96%
- Mr. Vollmar at 96%
- Mrs. Guigear at 96%
- Mrs. Forbes at 95%
Our monthly winner of the October drawing for Best First Hour classroom attendance was Mr. Vollmar's classroom. Special thanks to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church for catering the FREE luncheon for this class!
