Our middle schoolers' ideas are important! 😁We will be asking for kids' input on potential Fun Nights (sponsored by the PTO) by offering an optional survey on Friday 12/05. The kids will be asked for their ideas on what they would like to do. 🎉 Please email Mrs. Anderson (tanderson@swcrk.org) by 12/05 by 7:30am if you do not want your child to participate in the 3 question survey.

🚨 We Need YOU! 🚨 From concessions to 50/50 and everything in between… our Athletic Boosters can’t do it without a little help from our Dragon family! 👉 You don’t need to be a member or attend meetings to volunteer. Just one shift makes a BIG difference! 👉 Last year alone, Boosters gave back over $30,000 to Swartz Creek athletic programs thanks to concession proceeds. 👉 If you have a student-athlete, we kindly ask that you volunteer at least once each year to help keep this tradition strong. Volunteering is one of the easiest—and most fun—ways to give back to all Swartz Creek athletic programs while meeting new people and cheering on our Dragons! 🎉 🔗 Sign up to volunteer here: [https://www.scathleticboosters.com/]

Exciting News for Swartz Creek Community Schools! Even though the state of Michigan has yet to determine the continuation of the Michigan School Meals Program, Swartz Creek Community Schools WILL continue to offer FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL students in grades pre-K through 12! If the Michigan School Meals bill is passed, we will be able re-invest these additional funds into your child's meals, update our kitchens and equipment, and update cafe environments and furniture. We need your help! Please fill out the Education Benefit Form through the Meal Magic Family Portal. Gathering this information is crucial for determining eligibility for Summer Food Service Programs, and ensuring our schools receive full access to federal and state funding for educational programs. Parents can create an account or just fill out the form without creating one. Please ONLY add children who are currently registered with Swartz Creek Schools. Any other children in another District or not yet registered should be added to the “number of members in the household”. Visit our website: [swartzcreek.org](http://swartzcreek.org) and click “Food Service” for more information. or contact Food Services directly at 810-591-1864 The Meal Magic Family Portal is also a fantastic resource for families. Here, you can set up accounts for your children to deposit money, view purchases, transfer funds between children, and set restrictions. Both the Middle and High School offer a la carte items for all students, whether they bring a lunch or eat a free meal, they can purchase additional items for lunch. Menus are available on the food service page under the NutriSlice tab, detailing nutritional value, calories, macros, and allergens. If your student has special dietary needs, please contact our food service department directly. This will ensure that their meals are modified and documented accordingly for state compliance, and the school will be notified of any dietary restrictions.
